Photography Model Tips – A Good Photography Model
A good photograph can be taken with Instamatic camera property or that everything is in the angle of the shot and pay attention to the background. Here are some tips to remember …..

1. Try to get to ground level with the model. Imagine that the height of the crew aboard the ship. This gives a more realistic picture.
2. Pay attention to the background. Try to make the background of the UN-occupied as possible. If something happens in the background, it distracts attention from the model to be photographed. Sometimes, that’s when you can shoot a wider angle for cutting down.
3. When shooting, you know where you are. Be aware of your surroundings when you are around the models, especially the public exhibition. If you’re busy getting perfect results, you may be a child or for worse in the middle of the model of a very detailed plans to launch. One guy became so trance with video recording of an event once he literally stumbled at the end of the dock.
4. models shooting. Always try to display a photograph of a model on a white background. A single sheet works well. Try pastel colors. If you use a white cloth to the hull looks great, but if your cabs are white, they wash in the background. Ditto for using a black cloth. The hull to blend into the background. Sometimes, I used the sofa covered with a sheet over it so that it covers the bottom and back and you have a place to sit on the model. Use a plain background, it is easier when you play with photo editor and paste your template in a photo background.

Seven elements that contribute to a stunning black and white
post by ableh
There was a time the pictures were made in black and white. Now the default is the color and we have to adjust for color images to monochrome version. (Assuming a digital camera.)
Now that the shooting of B & W is a deliberate choice, I thought preview seven elements that I think help make a great B & W image.
1. Great B & W images tend to be simple, with their main components isolated and easily identified.
2. Great B & W images tend to have depth and dimension – usually achieved by creating visual layers that extend from the foreground to the background and all points in between.
3. Great B & W images rely on the shape and / or shape to the image. Hue and distractions of color have disappeared. Only those forms or forms made by the objects remain and can be arranged so that they draw the eye in or out of the photograph at the time and right place.
4. Great B & W images tend to exploit the contrast. The difference between the whitest white and blackest black is the highest image contrast, which can be used to attract the eye of the beholder. Good contrast can help add depth and dimension as well.
5. Great B & W images rely on the texture and tone to take the place of color and hue. This can be accomplished in several ways. Texture, for example, can be upgraded with side lighting. High ISOs are sometimes used to reproduce film grain for texture.
6. Great B & W images often rely on models to attract the eye in the photo subject. It helps form and designate forms an important part of the whole scene B & W.
7. Great B & W images tend to minimize background and to accentuate the foreground. Although this is not always true, if you look at most of the work of some of the great old-time B & W masters, you will find this technique used in many of their pictures, especially portraits.
Of course, there are many more features you might want to consider when shooting for B & W images, but these seven items should be top of mind, especially if you’re new to photography and black white. They’ll get to the point where you’re at least in the ball park. Your own vision and creativity can take you from there.

7 Tips For Creating A Great Portrait In The Bright Sunlight
post by ableh
One reason many people choose to live in Colorado is the 325 days of blue sky and sun. And it’s a great thing if you love the outdoors as we do.
However photograph in direct sunlight has its own challenges. With a portrait, you can usually schedule early morning or late at night to capture the soft light. But what about a wedding that takes place in the middle of the afternoon? You can not carry a marriage just because you are looking for better lighting conditions. So you adjust.
1. Use the sun to your advantage. Instead of placing the object with the sun behind you – shining in the eyes of the subject and making them squint – play with the placement. If you put the sun at an angle of 45 degrees, you’ll begin to see the size of the object. Or to put it behind your subject, and use the sun to create interesting touch.
2. Use reflectors. You can use light reflectors and diffusers to control the light source, bounce again stresses on the subject, and block sunlight toughest directly above.
3. Find the shade. No matter where you are, you can find a shady spot to escape the sun. Look about you tuck behind a building, or in a grove of trees. You can always get beautiful lighting, beautiful backgrounds, and less chance you have a topic strabismus.
4. Create your own shadow. Use accessories to create a shady place everywhere. Caps, umbrellas, find something that gives your personality issue.
5. Tell a story. Instead of focusing on the typical portrait with the subject, smiling at the camera, to find a different view. Perhaps walking along the beach, or enjoy a moment alone in a field of flowers. Be creative and look for something that takes you beyond the typical photographer.
6. If in doubt, use a flash. If you take a portrait where the emphasis is on the face, make sure you have adequate lighting on the face to compensate for the sunlight. Although we personally do everything we can to avoid flash, sometimes it can be your best choice.
7. Try using a different angle. As portrait photographers, it is easy to rely on a standard lens and over again. When you are in a difficult situation, trying a variety of things. One of our objectives is a favorite fish-eye. Get closer to your subject and the background shot completely out of proportion. You are subject love the different perspective, and you may find yourself with a touch surprising.
Five Tips for Better Portraits by: Tiffany Joyce

Portrait photography is not only a genre very popular with professional photographers, it is also a topic almost inevitable for photographers of all skills. Whenever you compose a picture with a person the subject, you take a picture. While the world of photography continues to grow, we strive to make portraits that capture more of the essence and personality of the person, rather than just a picture of how they look.
Here are some tips to help you improve your skills as a portrait photographer:
one: Come in close. Focus on one part of the person, rather than the whole body. Shooting hands, half-faces, eyes, profiles, feet … even photos with the subject facing you.
Two: to move far away. Take pictures that cover an entire environment of the person. Person’s position that the subject using the rule of thirds.

Three: Taking pictures continuously. Photograph your subject in motion, walking, having a conversation, cooking in the kitchen, dancing, or interact with their environment. Put your camera in burst mode and shoot in burst mode to capture a series of gunshots. This works especially well for children who have a status worse.
Four perspectives on change. It is not necessary to shoot your subject at eye level. Shoot above or below the mix a bit. Tilt your camera angle to capture movement and action.

Five: Take pictures of your subject that he or she likes to do. If they like the painting, photograph them while they are painting. If they like to ride, photographed at the arena riding or pasture. If they are motorcycle enthusiasts, have spent the ride while you take pictures continuously. If they were in a group, become a groupie for a night. Their enthusiasm shines through the quality of the portrait.
We encourage you to share your stories and examples of portrait photography in the comments!
Technique Overviews: 5 Nature Shooting Skills
post by ableh
1. Pan a moving subject.
Panoramic follows a moving subject by rotating the camera while the shutter is open, has two major advantages for shooting wildlife. It captures the object strongly, while the background stripes to show the movement (as in the photo above). It can also help you keep your subject when too strong lighting IMG to get you faster shutter speeds for freezing action. Panoramic generally requires the shutter open for 1 / 8 sec or more, depending on the speed of the object. Whether you use a tripod or handholding (which can produce straight and parallel lines in the background streaks-cool effect), start the stove before the shutter is open and keep moving until it is closed. Like most things in life, practice makes perfect panoramic.
2. Check the histogram.
The peaks and valleys of this graph represents the amount of exposure in darker shades (far left) to the most brilliant (far right). On the banks, you should worry about: If a spill graph on the left edge, you lose detail in deep shadows and generally obtain a noise dose. Trespass on the right side, and you end up with blown highlights, like an empty sky. If the graph extends to the left, increase exposure, if it spills over the right to reduce their exposure. Sometimes you will not be able to get both content simultaneously. landscape shooters may choose to drop the shadow rather than blown highlights, but there are exceptions landscapes backlit like David Clapp’s on pages 58-59.
3. Follow with a zoom.
You want to fill the frame with a bird in flight, if you win the long zoom for the longest focal length. But when you put your eye to the viewfinder, you are met with a blank blue sky and green foliage. Where is the bird? Rather than swinging your objective in all directions in an often futile hunt for a moving subject, try to zoom up. Set your zoom to a focal length wide enough to easily take the bird in flight when you put your eye to the viewfinder. Once you do, follow focus on it (as with the pan, use continuous autofocus), until you are in tune with its speed and trajectory. Then begin to zoom in and fill the frame. In addition, as the deck it gets easier with practice.
4. Set hyperfocal distance.
The hyperfocal distance is the focus setting that will give you the greatest depth of field (DOF) that still includes infinity. If your lens has a DOF scale (a series of inscribed lines adjacent to the distance scale and labeled with f-numbers), setting it is easy: Switch the lens to manual focus and turn it so that the infinity distance mark lines up with the f-stop you’re using. If your lens has no DOF scale, you can eyeball it using DOF preview (provided your camera has it): Set your aperture and trigger DOF preview. Focus the lens manually to a near distance, and, while looking through the viewfinder, set the distance farther and farther until the most distant object comes just into focus. If the viewfinder image is too dark, cover the finder, cup your hands around the eyepiece, and wait for your eye to adjust.
5. Bracket exposures and other settings.
A common myth is that one perfect exposure exists for every landscape, floral study, or wildlife portrait. But by under- and overexposing a scene, you can come away with two (or more) interpretations, each different yet compelling in its own way. Bracketing exposure-simple, thanks to auto bracketing on most DSLRs-nets you a decent exposure, several variations, and the potential to blend different exposures into a single, superior version of a scene. For really killer images, go a step further, if time permits: Bracket white balance, focusing, crop, and camera orientation (horizontal and vertical)
